Ms. Carrasco was admitted to the State of California Bar in 1989. Ms. Carrasco is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeal for the Ninth Circuit, the United States District Court for the Central District of California and the Northern District of California.
Ms. Carrasco has considerable expertise in both prosecuting and defending a wide range of federal and state civil trial litigation, including complex business disputes, real estate and foreclosure disputes, civil rights claims, employment law, professional malpractice, landlord and tenant law, construction defect and product liability. Ms. Carrasco is an experienced appellate advocate and has appeared before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal and the California Court of Appeal.
In 2005, James Rosen and Ms. Carrasco successfully prosecuted a legal malpractice and fraud case against a prominent international law firm and obtained a $38 million jury verdict in favor of their clients, Billy Blanks, Gayle Blanks and BG Star Productions, Inc. Ms. Carrasco also obtained a $2.1 million settlement on behalf of low-income tenants of a residential landlord alleged to have maintained his apartment buildings in slum conditions.
In 2006, Ms. Carrasco was named one of the Top 75 Women Litigators in the State of California by the Los Angeles Daily Journal, a prominent legal newspaper.
