OVERVIEW
Jim Rosen is the founder and managing partner of Rosen
Saba, LLP. Jim has successfully litigated scores of business torts, professional liability claims, employment and harassment disputes, women’s rights issues, and catastrophic injury cases on behalf of a wide spectrum of individuals, local governments, businesses and multi-national corporations. Jim has a near perfect success record as the lead trial lawyer in dozens of jury trials and arbitration proceedings. He is also an expert witness concerning attorney ethics, standard of care, and responsible billing practices in high-stakes legal malpractice and breach of fiduciary duty matters.
In 2024, Jim was elected and served as the President of the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. The Los Angeles Chapter was named “Large Chapter of the Year” for 2024. He is currently a member of the Board of Trustees for the American Board of Trial Advocates Foundation, a 501(c) charitable organization dedicated to the preservation of the right to a jury trial, excellence, and the civility of the practice of law.
PROFESSIONAL HIGHLIGHTS
- Over $100 million in total plaintiffs’ verdicts and settlements achieved
- Not a single jury trial lost on the defense side
- Lead trial attorney in a high-profile legal malpractice and fraud case against a prominent international 2005 law firm and obtained a $38.5 million jury verdict in favor of the firm’s clients, Billy Blanks, Gayle Blanks and BG Star Productions, Inc. The verdict was the largest California legal malpractice verdict in years, the fifth largest verdict in the State of California and the 34th largest verdict nationwide in 2005, as reported by the Los Angeles Daily Journal and National Law Journal.
- Lead litigation and appellate attorney in E-Pass Technologies, Inc. v. Moses & Singer, LLP, et al. (2010) 189 Cal.App.4th 1140, holding for the first time under California law that a legal malpractice action based upon unsuccessful patent infringement claims may be brought in California Courts.
- Member of the trial team that obtained a unanimous verdict in the amount of $62,054,745 for claims against a former employee who took confidential information in order to start a competing business (This was the largest Business Litigation Jury Verdict in the State of California in 2023)
